QA and UAT evidence

Create clear QA and UAT test evidence with screenshots

Test evidence should help another person understand what was checked and what happened—not leave them decoding a folder of unnamed images. Bundlepix helps QA and UAT teams capture, review, annotate, protect and export visual evidence locally on Windows.

  • Manual QA · UAT
  • Permanent blackout
  • DOCX · PDF · XLSX

Reviewable evidence

Show the tested state—not just the final screenshot.

Useful test evidence gives reviewers enough context to understand the tested state. Capture the relevant screen, keep related steps in a logical order, record the expected and actual result, and use focused annotations to direct attention to the observation that matters.

Bundlepix can attach an evidence title, Case ID, and timestamp to captured evidence. Expected and actual results, execution status, tester identity, environment, and approval should remain in the team’s test-management or other source-of-record system.

  • Test case or requirement reference
  • Build, version and test environment
  • Preconditions and test steps
  • Expected and actual results
  • Pass, fail or blocked result
  • Tester and execution date

A practical QA workflow

Capture the context a reviewer needs.

  1. 01

    Capture the right scope

Use screen, window or region capture for focused evidence. Use supported scrolling capture when the important state extends beyond the visible area.

  2. 02

    Annotate what matters

Identify the relevant control, value, message or error state without covering the evidence.

  3. 03

    Protect sensitive test data

Apply permanent blackout before export when screens contain credentials, personal data, customer identifiers or confidential values.

  4. 04

    Compile and export

Keep related captures together and export the evidence as DOCX, PDF or XLSX.

Common QA uses

Build a screenshot evidence report for manual QA and UAT review.

Manual and exploratory testing

Keep observations, steps and relevant screen states together for review.

Defect and fix verification

Show the failure, the retest context and the observed result without rebuilding evidence files by hand.

UAT and release review

Create a consistent visual record that business reviewers can follow alongside the approved test case.

Output choices

Use the evidence format that fits the review.

  • DOCXFor evidence that needs comments or further editing
  • PDFFor a consistent review and circulation copy
  • XLSXFor structured records alongside test cases and results

For evidence beyond the visible area, review the Windows scrolling-capture workflow. When the sequence is ready, compare Word, PDF, and Excel evidence exports.

Bundlepix documents manually captured evidence. It does not execute tests, compare visual baselines, connect to issue trackers or decide whether a test passed.

Local processing

Keep QA captures on the Windows PC.

Bundlepix processes capture, annotation, permanent blackout, optional OCR and document creation locally. Bundlepix does not upload captured content. Teams remain responsible for choosing appropriate save locations and sharing exported files safely.

Frequently asked questions

Can Bundlepix create a screenshot evidence report for manual QA or UAT?

Bundlepix can keep reviewed captures in sequence, attach an evidence title, Case ID, and timestamp, and export the visual evidence to DOCX, PDF, or XLSX. Test status, approvals, and expected or actual results remain in the team's source-of-record system.

Can Bundlepix capture scrolling pages?

Bundlepix supports scrolling capture in compatible contexts. Compatibility can vary by page and application, so important captures should be reviewed before export.

Can I remove sensitive information from a screenshot?

Yes. Permanent blackout can remove visible details from captured content before export. Review the finished capture before sharing it.

Does OCR send captured content to the cloud?

No. Optional OCR processing runs locally on the Windows PC and requires Tesseract to be installed separately.

Which evidence formats can I create?

Bundlepix supports DOCX, PDF and XLSX document exports.

Is Bundlepix an automated testing platform?

No. Bundlepix supports evidence created during manual testing, exploratory testing and UAT; it does not run automated tests or decide whether a test passed.
